A letter from Franklin Roosevelt to John D. Rockefeller (1943). It reads, "My dear Mr. Rockefeller, I fully understand your personal satisfaction in the creatuon of the Jackson Hole National Monument. It was indeed a privilege to sign the Order setting apart, for this and future generations, an area of such grandeur containing so many historic landmarks and other objects of scientific interest. Many thanks for your fine interest and your thoughtful letter of March seventeenth. Very sincerely yours, Franklin D. Roosevelt."
